My name is Assaf Henkin and i’m in my mid 30’s (ouch). I was born in the rainy pacific northwest rose city AKA Portland, OR. grew up in Israel, and have recently spent 10 years in fogy San Francisco. We (wife + 2 kids) came back to Israel 2 years ago and we live in Tel Aviv.
While in San Francisco (1995 – 2005), I completed a bachelors degree at SFSU (computer info systems) and worked for a startup in beutiful Sausalito. The startup was later acquired by iXL, Inc. and iXL went public a short period after. In 1999, Yoav Shaham, Henit Vitos and myself founded our first company – eZula, Inc. In 2003 we founded our second company – Kontera Technologies, Inc.
Today I’m VP Product at Kontera and we’re growing fast (checkout our careers page).
I spent all my professional life in the Internet industry and it is probably the only thing i trully understand. Back in 1997 I was involved in some of the most innovative online commrce projects of the time, and today I’m leading a few very innovative products and projects that stand at the forefront of the online landscape. Fast pace, dynamic, and never expected – just like I like it…
